Bridge Street, Bristol
1940
This whole area was once the major shopping centre of Bristol, close-knit medieval streets with Georgian terraces. Streets lined with shops, churches and offices. The war totally obliterated the area and it has since become Castle Park, all that remains is the cobbled path of Back of Bridge Street and the churches of St Peter and St Mary le Port.
