Mapcrunch

So. Mapcrunch. It’s a new ‘thing’ on the internet that dumps you somewhere in the world on Streetview and the game is you have to try and find an airport. I got plumped in the Berlin’s hinterland and managed to find my way to Schonfield airport within an hour. 

It’s creepily addictive and when you first see the plane symbol on a road sign you might very well cry with joy. I ended up touring East Berlin (which, apparently, has a big hipster population) before taking the autobahn out of the city. Sadly streetview ended here about half-a-mile from the airport but that’s not really the point. I got there.
